Prenatal Re-Imprinting

Dynamics of Prenatal Re-Imprinting

The mother's life experiences during pregnancy influence the rapidly developing embryo at the level of molecular biology of the cells. Each developing cell has a surface membrane with millions of receptor sites that are individually tuned to hundreds of different messenger molecules (ligands). For example, a typical cell may have some 40,000 insulin receptor sites. These receptor sites are the smallest "BIT" of conscious awareness. Molecular biologist and lecturer Dr. Bruce H. Lipton, Ph.D. provides some interesting and relevant insights.

"Recent advances in cellular science are heralding an important evolutionary turning point. For almost fifty years we have held the illusion that our health and fate were preprogrammed in our genes. [However,] Cellular biologists now recognize that the environment (external universe and internal physiology), and more importantly, our perception of the environment, directly controls the activity of our genes. The quantum physics behind these mechanisms provides insight to the communications channels that link the body-mind duality." [Dr, Bruce H. Lipton, from "The Biology of Consciousness: Perception Shapes Genetics," Stanford University Lecture Series, 1999]

Dr. Lipton explains that the DNA is not the "brain" in the cell, rather it acts as a computer "hard drive." The cellular membrane [including the cellular cytoskeleton] provides the information processing mechanism (as a computer's CPU), and the millions of receptor sites are the data entry mechanism ("keyboard").

"Cells move toward growth signals, and away from life-threatening stimuli (protection response). Since a cell can not move forward and backward at the same time, a cell can not be in growth and protection at the same time. At the cellular level, growth and protection are mutually exclusive behaviors. This is true of human cells as well. If our tissues and organs perceive a need for protection, they will compromise their growth behavior. Chronic protection leads to the disruption of the tissue and its function." [Dr. Bruce Lipton, Ibid]

Signaling the cellular DNA occurs within a complex environment of physical and biochemical influences. In the prenatal period these influences are profound and foundational. These influences include: acoustic and electromagnetic, as well as the maternal neurochemical imprinting.

The acoustic environment for the prenate is important, and there is music to soothe and excite the mother, and thus influence the developing prenate. However, there is a more direct prenatal response to sound, particularly spoken language. While language will develop cognitive denotative meaning as language skills are acquired in childhood, there is also a connotative meaning associated with every word. Connotative meaning is the emotional associations attached to the denotative meaning of a word. Connotative conditioning to the spoken word begins before we are born.

Prenatal ear structures are fully developed by the 24th week, and the acoustic environment is filled with many voices of significant persons, especially the expectant mother who's voice resonates more powerfully in the amniotic fluid. Words are composed of basic sound units called phonemes. Human language is processed as phonetic sounds, and there are some 50-phoneme units of sound as the building blocks of all languages. (None of the many languages on earth use all 50-phonemes.)

From the seventh month of pregnancy and continuing into the neonatal period, investigators measured a precise pattern of muscular movement to the spoken word. They found that humans respond to specific phonemes with a specific muscular response. (W. Conrad & L. Sander in Science, 01/11/1974, pp 99-101).

Thus, words (phonemes) can be imprinted from the seventh month of pregnancy. This imprinting is an association with the emotional environment that a prenate shares with its mother.

Growth and development of prenatal tissues is subject to the direct influence of energy fields. Thus, in addition to the release of stress-related neurochemicals by the mother and that influence on the prenate, there are ways in which the prenate can be influenced directly by something or someone other than the mother. In addition to influences of cell phones, and other sources of electromagnetic fields (EMF), there is a very subtle mechanism built into many cells. The vast majority of cells in the human brain are able to respond to magnetic fields. For almost all of us the level of cellular chaos is so high that these influences remain below the threshold of conscious awareness.

Ferromagnetic crystals are manufactured by some cells, particularly astroglial cells, the predominant cell type in the brain. These are magnetic crystals (Fe3O4), and they are aligned in chains of up to 80 crystals per chain in an alignment that maximizes the magnetic moment of each crystal particle. These are membrane-bound biomineral magnetite crystals that are produced within each cell as needed, Unlike naturally occurring octahedral-shaped magnetite crystals, our astroglial cells generate a cubo-octahedral structure that is better suited to respond to magnetic fields.

Each of these compass-like magnetite crystals have been shown to have a mechanical coupling to a mechanoreceptor in the cellular membrane. Thus, they act as a sensor to magnetic fields and signal the inner "machinery" of the cell. This offers an insight into why our brains can operate may times faster than the process of synaptic firing and the movement of electrical potential (called action potential) from one neuron to another.

These linear magnetic crystal domains are more than a million times more responsive to external magnetic fields than surrounding cellular non-magnetic structures. Some theorize that these magnetic particles interact with magnetic and electromagnetic fields and transduce their response into their host cell. Thus, they provide a means of responding to, and sensing our environment. (Kirschvink, J.L.et al, "Magnetite Biomineralization in the Human Brain," Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences , 89 (1992) 7683-7687)

The foundational bioelectrical nature of human health is gradually being noticed by Western Medicine. This emerging medical revolution is emerging from a system of energetic medicine that was pioneered 25-years ago by Russian scientists Dr. Alexander Revenko and Dr. Alexander Karasev. They developed a whole new system of medicine based on their fuller understanding of the most primitive human nervous system. That primitive nervous system is called the analog perineural nervous system (APNS). The APNS is the highly electrically conductive fibrous tissue (called fascia) that connects skin to muscle. In the thicker portions of fascia are found the classical acupuncture meridians. Their function is to convey energy and information throughout the body. Western medicine is so captive to pharmaceutical companies that this information is not well known. Yet, our body is highly electrical in its operation, especially the heart. The cells within the adult human heart have an exceptionally large electrical output. The rhythmic coherence of the beating heart generates some 2.5-watts of electrical activity with each heart beat. This electrical activity is 50 to 60 times greater than the electrical energy of the brain, and is enough energy to light a small electric light bulb. This creates a pulsating magnetic field that radiates outward as illustrated in the figure below.

This discovery was reported by Rollin McCraty of the Institute for HeartMath (IHM). This field is illustrated in the figure (above) published by IHM, and it shows the extent of the electromagnetic field measured by sensitive instruments. More details are available on line (for free) at: http://www.heartmath.org/RO.html

The new field of energy cardiology provides the following insights into prenatal imprinting of the heart. The heart has a high-level of neuronal tissue.

text "The electromagnetic (EM) field of the heart is a primal force in our individual development. In our embryonic and fetal development, the initial cells of what becomes our heart are some of the first tissues to form. Well before the embryonic heart starts to function as a pump, it generates a pulsating EM field that surrounds the whole developing embryo. Through embryonic and fetal development, heart's energy field is stabilized by the mother's heart field, and the two heart fields imprint each other. (Russel, Linda G. and G.E. Schwartz. "Energy Cardiology: A Dynamical Energy Systems Approach for Integrating Conventional and Alternative Medicine." Advances: Journal of Mind-Body Health 12; 4, 1996)

Thus, the science behind Prenatal Re-Imprinting (PNRI) tells us that the rapidly developing prenate (embryo/fetus) is subject to a constant stream of influences that establish patterns that will influence the behavior of cells, organs, and the entire person throughout their life. Now, however, PNRI now provides a powerful new tool that can reset the foundational patterns of dysfunctional behavior and unlock enormous blocked potential. What we want in life is shown in the Table below, and this is contrasted with what we actually have (blue column). In the red column, below, we see common examples of the prenatal dynamics of "what must have been going on" in order to imprint foundational maladaptive personality patterns.

The Table below shows the relationship of present emotional problems to prenatal experiences of "What must have been going on." Processing through expanded awareness while in a prenatal trance provides a pathway out of suffering and misery. All cases of maladaptive behavior are formed as part of the personality, and were formed through prenatal imprinting under conditions of chronic or acute maternal/prenatal stress. The greater the level of stress, the more powerfully the patterns will be imprinted.

For example, chronic feelings of impatience have their roots in prenatal imprinting. The regions of the brain that are involved in impatience and impulsive choice are called the anterior cingulate cortex, and the ventral striatum. This region is sensitive to the Pavlovian conditioning of prenatal imprinting.

We all differ in our ability to choose delayed gratification over immediate gratification. Self-controlled individuals are better able to choose delayed rewards than impulsive individuals, and are usually more successful in their lives. Also, an individual's impulsive choices contribute to their development of behavioral disorders that often include substance abuse. A prenatal pattern of impatience often occurs through imprinting of the experience of not having enough oxygen supplied through the placenta when one is a prenate. Thus, these feelings of impatience will have an underlying urgency that is associated with avoiding suffocation. The resulting alarm response produces a cascade of neuro chemicals that are imprinted in the rapidly developing paleocortex. While the actual physical circumstances of the prenatal lack of oxygen may vary, they all will respond quickly to corrective processes of PNRI.

Table of Prenatal Personality Dynamics

WHEN THIS IS WHAT WE WANT: BUT WHEN THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE: WHAT MUST HAVE BEEN GOING ON WAS:
SECURITY: To be open and freely experience and share joy and love. INSECURITY: You are experiencing high levels of anxiety and fear PROBLEM PREGNANCY: "Oh no! I'm pregnant!" Much distress over pregnancy.
CENTEREDNESS: To be Poised and prepared emotionally to meet life's challenges INADEQUACY: You are experiencing feelings of low self esteem. NOT ENOUGH RESOURCES: Mother suffered from physical or financial lack
CAPABILITY: To be successful in developing your skills and abilities. INFERIORITY: You are feeling self doubt and you lack confidence. FATHER WITHDREW HIS SUPPORT: Mother felt that she was abandoned.
CONFIDENCE: To live life with a belief that you are capable and can succeed UNCERTAINTY: You feel doubt and uncertainty about choices and outcomes PARENTS WERE NOT PROPERLY BONDED: With uncertain relationship.
OPPORTUNITIES: To be blessed with abundance of choices, clear vision and inspiration PERSONALITY PROBLEMS: You may experience various emotional, physical, and mental problems (OCD, etc) INADEQUATE ATTENTION: Parents do not give developing prenate adequate attention.

An experienced PNRI practitioner can "anchor" their client's current feelings of impatience, and then take them back into a state of expanded awareness that is time-regressed into a prenatal trance. It is crucial that the prenatal-trance-state is achieved because this places the paleocortex in dominance, while the conscious neocortex is only a passive observer. (Guiding a client into a true prenatal trance, and conducting the client on their transderivational search are two crucial elements of PNRI practitioner training.)

It is possible to clear the negative imprinting of "not enough oxygen," and then guide the subject to imprint a synthetic memory to reset paleocortical response levels. The result will be a clearing of the pattern of impatience from a client's personality, and the change becomes permanent. When the root source of an imprinted problem is removed all associated negative events tied to that root also collapse and disappear.
